Lake Faak
Lake Faak is one of those places that you should experience. It is one of the cleanest and most beautiful lakes in Carinthia, known for its clear turquoise color and the impressive view of the Karawanken mountains. Here you immediately get that relaxed summer feeling – close to nature, quiet and yet with everything you need for a good day’s swimming.
There are several public bathing spots on the shore as well as SUP and kayak rentals. A short trip to the small island, a dip in the water, then a coffee on the lakeside terrace – a half day quickly turns into a real vacation moment. If you prefer a quieter pace, take a walk along the lakeside paths or plan a leisurely bike ride with breaks in small cafés.
From harry’s home Villach, you can easily reach the lake by bike, public transport or car – flexible depending on how you plan your day. Tip: Early in the morning, the water is particularly clear and calm – ideal for a few lengths or a short SUP trip.
